What is TECHNOLOGY ACROSS CURRICULUM (TAC ) PROGRAM

Description of the TAC program from the CAS  TAC page: ( to see more visit http://www.cas.gmu.edu/tac/index.html)

"The Technology across the Curriculum (TAC) program represents a programmatic effort by the College of Arts and Sciences  to incorporate technology into the liberal arts curriculum. Through support to faculty for course development and re-design, TAC promotes the use of technology to enhance student learning in all subjects. The goal of the Technology across the Curriculum (TAC) program is to promote the most effective uses of technology to enhance learning. Under the auspices of this program,  technology is being systematically introduced throughout the  undergraduate curriculum. In courses affected by TAC, students extend their mastery of course material, while  learning technology skills and how to use these skills to solve  problems. Such a curriculum will prepare them for a lifetime of learning in the increasingly technological world that awaits  them after graduation."

MULTI-YEAR TAC PLAN  for PHYSICS and ASTRONOMY DEPARTMENT

We are proposing a multi-year TAC plan for most classes in the physics/astronomy curriculum. This approach will foster the sharing of developed TAC tools across the courses offered by the department, and minimize the development costs associated with any one individual course.
