Hi, my name is Maria Dworzecka .Welcome to the Physics and Astronomy Department at the George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. Please browse through these pages to see what's new and exciting in our department! If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at physics@physics.gmu.edu .We offer many exciting possibilities for studying physics. We have a deep commitment to facilitating learning and participating in research on the frontiers of knowledge. Our BS in Physics program provides the necessary set of classical and quantum physics courses which establish the basic structure of the discipline together with advanced topics in many other disciplines of Physics and Astronomy . The Department also offers a accelerated five years BS/MS program and a MS program in Applied and Engineering Physics .
