Going to university is one of the great adventures in life. Choosing which subject to study and which courses to apply for are amongst the most important decisions you are ever going to make. As with many of the great decisions, you will probably not be able to decide whether you made a wise choice until well after you have graduated, by which time it will be too late! Physics majors are encouraged to participate in research the department's research activities. Apart from the individual research done as part of the honors program, students can carry out supervised research projects and can often obtain paid research positions This home page tries to answer the questions asked by many other potential students. We have tried to be as informative as possible, realizing that different people want different things from a degree course. If you have specific questions about any of the degree programs offered by the Department of Physics please feel free to contact: physics@physics.gmu.edu A Snapshot of the Physics Department Undergraduate Majors: approx 51 Masters Students: approx 12 To find about George Mason University visit our virtual campus
