- Look for variable star Mira after sunset.

- Just before sunset look for Mars near the Moon.
- After sunset watch the Moon and Mars.

- About 2 hours before sunrise see if you can catch Mars, Saturn and Venus span about 180 degrees of the sky.
- Jupiter is in Sagittarius and Saturn is in Leo.

- Before sunrise, look for gibbous Moon near Saturn.
