ASTR 103--Astronomy, Section 02
Instructions: The quiz is a take home quiz and you may collaborate with your classmates. You will find the Starry Night software that comes with your textbook helpful to use, especially for the "Visible from DC now?" column. Additionally, the following two web sites will be invaluable:
The
Brightest Stars
Constellations
You should print out a copy of this web page and then fill in the missing
information using the above links (feel free to search for other interesting
web sites). The sketches should be simple, using dots or circles
for the stars connected with lines to represent the constellation.
The last column titled "Describe an interesting feature of the constellation"
is meant for you to mention the feature you find most interesting (the
"Constellation link above should be most helpful for this). The quiz
is due the last class period, April 26, but you may turn it in earlier.
It will be worth 10 points, just as all the other quizzes. Have fun,
good luck, and don't forget to sign your name.
